Indian Railway has officially announced their 2018 RPF constable and Sub Inspector examination date.The exam will be conducted in online mode. Indian Railways has released RPSF/RPF recruitment 2018 notification for 9,739 vacancies(can be increased) of Sub Inspector (SI) and Constable post in Railway Protection Force/Railway Protection Special Force (RPF/RPSF).The online application for RPF 2018 has been closed already. The date of RPF Constable/SI exam & RPF admit card 2018 has be published on official website of Indian Railways. The Rail Minister Piyush Goyal promised to release total 9,739 vacancies of Constable and Sub Inspector. As promised, around 50% or half of the RPF vacancy for Constable/SI post is reserved for Women.And there will be no fee for the woman to fill form for this exam.

Syllabus:-

The standard of examination is clearly mentioned in the Notification. For RPF Constable posts, the standard of the questions will be of 10th/Matric level. RPF Sub Inspector (SI) posts, the standard of the questions will be of graduate level. There will be 4 topics.And they are as follows:-

a. General Awareness & Science:

Questions will be aimed at testing the candidate’s general awareness of the environment around him and its application to society; to test knowledge of current events and such matters of everyday observation and experience as may be expected of any educated person. The test will also include questions relating to Indian History, Art & Culture, Geography, Economics, General Polity, Indian Constitution, Sports, General Science, etc.

b. Arithmetic:

Questions on Number systems, whole numbers, decimal and fractions and relationships between numbers, fundamental arithmetical operations, percentages, ratio and proportion, averages, interest, profit and loss, discount, use of table and graphs, 1nensuration, time and distance, ratio and proportion etc.

c. General Intelligence & Reasoning:

Questions on analogies, similarities and differences, spatial visualization, spatial orientation, problem solving analysis, judgment, decision making, visual memory, discriminating observation, relationship concepts, arithmetical reasoning, verbal and figure classification, arithmetic number series, non-verbal series, coding and decoding, statement conclusion, syllogistic reasoning, etc.

The RPF admit card 2018 will be out 10 days prior to the Computer Based Test (CBT) on 19th of December 2018.
